Food taste is authentic. A small tip for people not belonging to South of India, please do a quick Google search with term "south indian dishes" and order anything from the top six dishes so you won't be disappointed (Also attached a screenshot). Better avoid anything other than South Indian food.
Ambience is modern and similar to restuarants in Chennai. No sarees tied around walls and no unnecessary statues placed around randomly.
Service is respectable, unusually fast for Munich standards but usually our drinks are only one out of the three, namely Madras filter coffee or indian tea or still water so nothing to think, and its comfortable to readily order too. Its possible to order a fizzy drink or a beer but that's not what we do back in town.
Reserving a table is not an option which is a down side as much as it is a postive thing. Wait time was not insane but so far simply like 5 to 10 minutes even on a sunny weekend evening. But still I pity few unlucky fellow customers who experienced long wait time.
Finally, if you know what to order and if you have an idea about South Indian food and restuarants then you will have a great experience. Basically, I believe even the Saravanaa Bhavan branches back in Chennai have bad chinese veg fried rice and a bad roti+curry combo.
Food suggestions to order - Masala dosa, Ghee roast, Sambar mini idli, Medhu vada, south indian meals, oothappam.
